Tent campers will share two large primitive group campsites located along the Llano River. This registration is for one participant within the shared Dirt Society camping area, not for an individual campsite.
Please note: this is primitive camping. There are no campsite services or hookups for tent campers. The campground provides an outhouse only, so participants should plan accordingly and bring everything needed for a comfortable self supported weekend.
Your registration includes camping, access to the full weekend experience, and Dirt Society support for Saturday’s main ride.
Food included with your registration:
• Friday evening Dirt Society camp cookout
• Saturday morning coffee and light pre ride snack
• Saturday evening Inman’s BBQ dinner at the campsite
• Sunday morning coffee and light pre ride snack
Weekend Schedule
Friday, November 27
• Camp arrival and setup: 2:00 to 4:00 PM
• Dirt Society camp cookout: 5:30 PM
Saturday, November 28
• Coffee and light snack: 7:30 AM
• Ride rollout: 9:00 AM
• Main ride: 66.1 miles with 56% gravel
• Inman’s BBQ dinner at camp following the ride
Sunday, November 29
• Coffee and light snack: 7:30 AM
• Optional ride rollout: 9:00 AM
• Classic Castell Grind route: approximately 45 miles
• Castell General Store following the ride
Saturday’s route was prepared by Dirt Society Route Master Gary Eanes and will include Dirt Society SAG support.
Sunday lunch at the Castell General Store is purchased individually and is not included.
Space is intentionally limited to 12 tent campers for a smaller, shared Dirt Society adventure experience along the Llano River.
What is not included:
• Transportation to and from Castell
• Sunday lunch at the Castell General Store
• Lunch during Saturday’s ride
• Additional alcoholic beverages beyond the limited beer provided by Dirt Society
• Personal ride nutrition, hydration, and on-bike snacks
• Camping equipment, including tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, chair, and personal lighting
• Cycling equipment, clothing, helmet, lights, and repair supplies
• Replacement bike parts, tubes, tires, or other mechanical components
• Showers or developed campground amenities
• Potable water service at the primitive tent sites
• Water or sewer hookups at the RV sites
• Personal toiletries and other individual camping supplies
• Lodging outside of the reserved Dirt Society campsites
• Any additional food, drinks, activities, or purchases not specifically listed as included
Note: Dirt Society will provide a limited amount of beer for participants of legal drinking age. Any additional alcoholic beverages are the participant’s responsibility.
